I’ve had crème brûlée from all over the world, and I definitely must say, for a quick at home, pop in the oven, this is perfect! The custard part has the most delicious taste. It is a custard texture. The crunchy topping is full of flavor and brings it all together. Although the directions say to put your oven on broil (525•) and leave in 90 seconds, playing around and eating these many times, we found that 3 mins (doubling the directed time) gets the center warm too (somehow the center was still cold at 90 seconds). Also, place rack on second from top. Trust me, I’ve played around with the times and rack positions many times to get the right temperature. However, each oven is different and might not be your perfect setting. And lastly, I had to say something because the reviews would of had me pass this up if I never tried them before. People are complaining and leaving 1 star reviews because they stuck it in the microwave. Anyone who knows anything about these, knows NOT to stick in microwave. That’s basic cooking 101. Nowhere on the directions or packaging does it even list using a microwave for any of the cooking instructions. To leave a 1 star, as if the company is to be blamed, is insane to me.
