BASEBALL Tigers facing elimination...

After 5 hours in bed, I can say I’m still frustrated. Either bunt or shorten your swing. McMurray had to move the guys. But the HR Derby swings threw away our best chance to win. Myers and Graves deserved better.

Those first two were really bad. The third one just took him by surprise a little bit. I’m with you, though. Gotta move the runner.

Side note: The second baseman saved the game for them, right? Those were tough plays!

those kind of losses are tough to bounce back from.

this team is so very unclutch at times and i think injuries have played a huge part in it.

fabian is having to bat out of necessity and he’s an auto out. guevara’s stick not in the lineup is a huge hole at the top of the order with bub still trying to figure out sec pitching.

i want to believe, but the jaba makes me think this team will just pack it in and get smoked today because they just don’t have the mental fortitude to make plays when they HAVE to.

2 on and no outs with a chance to win it and your 4 spot at the plate.

only friggin auburn.

i hope they prove me wrong.

The play on Steele’s ball woulda been a lot tougher to make with infield in with runners on second and third… but they probably also walk him and get to Snow. Still agree that bunting was the play with McMurray though.

The fierce fighting roosters’ hurler we face today has a perfect 11-0 record. Well shit! I’ll still be within the friendly confines of Plainsman Park where very early this morning (following Hetzler’s batting practice serving over right field fence) their 400-500 exuberant rooster fans drowned out took the remaining/hopefully 5k or so Auburn Tiger fans.

Auburn faces elimination nearly 12 hours after losing to Coastal Carolina 7-6 in 10 innings late Friday night...

Given the comeback and what was at stake in the 9th, that was one of the most frustrating sequences I can ever remember. Game was ours and we threw it away with not just poor at bats, but as if we didn’t know pitcher had just walked 2 guys in a tie game in the bottom of the 9th. No more advantageous situation for an offense than that.
