THANKS DEMOCRATS.

... AND WHO GOT HIT THE HARDEST?

yep.

The learning loss was experienced by kids across race and income level, but it was particularly severe among low-performing and minority students, a well-documented disparity that widened during the two years of remote school. Students in the 90th percentile of scores lost three points in math, but students in the bottom 10th percentile lost 12 points in math.

Black students lost 13 points in math compared with five points among white students. As a consequence, the White−Black score gap from 25 points in 2020 was expanded to 33 points in 2022.

A May study conducted by Harvard University found that school closures and remote learning disproportionately harmed the academic performance of minority and low-income students, exacerbating the existing gap separating low-income and minority students from their white and wealthier counterparts.

I knew this was going to happen when they shut the schools down over The Rona. The effects of basically having zero real school for two years will be felt in this country for decades. Really makes you wonder if it was all worth it.

Progressive Dems are just awful people who are doing great harm to the country. Those kids will never get back that lost learning time in the crucial formative years.

Dont worry they have the solution in the DC school district. They plan to expel students who have not gotten the COVID vaccine. That will help educate them for sure.

Dont worry though even though they would expel a large percentage (47%) of the children of color and 13% of the white kids they made it clear that is there choice. They can after all get a shot to prevent, lessen, well something them from getting an illness that has a smaller chance of putting them in the hospital than crossing the street to go to the school.

From the article:
There is also concern the mandate will have a disproportionate effect on children of color. Data published by the city show 53 percent of Black 12- to 15-year-olds are vaccinated against the coronavirus, compared to 87 percent of White students in that age group. Those numbers are lower than what the city reported last week.
But, excluding students from school can be avoided, said Bowser.

“It doesn’t have to happen,” Bowser said during an interview Thursday. “That’s why we want everybody to take advantage of going to their own pediatrician, going to pop-ups and getting the required vaccine.”

So, those policies were RACIST by definition, correct? Since the outcomes were different for different races and minorities fared worse.

Thankfully after two years of disruption from a pandemic that killed more than 1 mil Americans, schools are already working on helping kids recover and thrive. This is a year to accelerate learning by rebuilding relationships, focusing on the basics
She is the perfect example of one of the biggest problems with education today.

They were right about COVID being racist.
